Dr. Gary Landsberg
Dr. Gary Landsberg graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1976 and established the Doncaster Animal Clinic in 1976. Dr. Landsberg offers behavior consultation services for owners of pets with behavior problems. He is a diplomate and a past president of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists and is also a diplomate of the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine and is presently on their executive board. He is a frequent speaker on behavioral topics at veterinary conferences around the world, has coauthored a number of veterinary behavioral texts and chapters, including Behavior Problems of the Dog and Cat (3rd edition, 2013). He has also coauthored behavior handouts for clients, which are available on line exclusively to our clients in the Pet Care section of this website. Dr. Landsberg has also hosted his own TV show, Free for the Asking on the Life Network, and a pet show on CFRB and continues to appear regularly in the media. Dr. Landsberg currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Ontario Veterinary College and is a behaviour consultant for veterinarians on the Veterinary Information Network (VIN) and Director of Veterinary Affairs at CanCog technologies. In the year 2000, Dr. Landsberg was awarded te American Animal Hospital Association award for his contributions to the field of companion animal behaviour.
Dr. Sagi Denenberg
Dr.
Sagi Denenberg is a 2003 graduate with Excellence in Academic Achievement from
the Kosice Veterinary College in Slovakia. He relocated from Israel to
Canada in 2003 and passed the North American veterinary licensing
examination.
Dr. Denenberg is providing
behaviour consults for owners with their pets including dogs, cats, parrots and
other exotic mammals. Dr. Denenberg passed his members certificate with the
Australia College of Veterinary Scientists (Veterinary Behaviour) and completed
behaviour residencies of the American College of Veterinary Behavior and the
European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural medicine. He is an
associate consultant on VIN. Dr. Denenberg has done a number of
behavioural studies including the effects of pheromones on learning and
socialization in puppies and a study of play toy preference in cats for which
he was awarded the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior student
award.
Dr. Denenberg is fluent in
Hebrew and has two dogs, a Golden Retriever named Shemesh and a Plott Hound
named Hugo (from a shelter in Medicine Hat) as well as two cats, Elan and
Lilly.
