Dr. Gary Landsberg

Dr. Gary Landsberg graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1976 and has been in partnership with Dr. Waisglass since 1987 at the Doncaster Animal Clinic and the Steeles Veterinary Service. Dr. Landsberg offers behavior consultation services for owners of pets with behavior problems.  He is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists and is one of their past presidents and is also a diplomate of the European College of Behavioural Medicine and is presently on their executive board.  He is a frequent speaker on behavioral topics at veterinary conferences around the world, has coauthored a number of veterinary behavioral texts and chapters, including Handbook of Behavior Problems of the Dog and Cat, (2nd edition, 2003). He has also coauthored behavior handouts for clients, which are available on line exclusively to our clients in the Pet Care section of this website. Dr. Landsberg has also hosted his own TV show, Free for the Asking on the Life Network, and a pet show on CFRB and continues to appear regularly in the media.  Dr. Landsberg currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Ontario Veterinary College and is a behaviour consultant for veterinarians on the Veterinary Information Network (VIN).  In the year 2000, Dr. Landsberg was awarded the American Animal Hospital Association award for his contributions to the field of companion animal behaviour. 

Dr. Stephen Waisglass

Dr. Stephen Waisglass is a 1983 Graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College. Dr. Waisglass has been in partnership with Dr. Gary Landsberg since 1987.  He received his Certificate in Small Animal Dermatology from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in England in 1994. He did his dermatology residency at the Ontario Veterinary College, and is a board certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Clinical Studies at the Ontario Veterinary College. Dr. Waisglass has published numerous journal articles and has been a co-author in a veterinary textbook in the field of veterinary dermatology. He has lectured to veterinarians and veterinary technicians across Canada about veterinary dermatology, and has appeared on numerous radio and television programs. Dr. Waisglass offers dermatology and allergy consultations and treatment for dogs and cats on our premises. Dr. Waisglass is also a dermatology consultant for veterinarians, on the Veterinary Information Network (VIN) internet site. When not working, Dr. Waisglass spends time with his wife, two children and his dog, Nugget.

Dr. Sagi Denenberg

Dr. Sagi Denenberg is a 2003 graduate of the Kosice Veterinary College in Slovakia.  He began first working during his final year externship in 2002 at which time he passed the North American veterinary licensing examination.  During his veterinary education Dr. Denenberg graduated with excellence in academic achievement.   After graduation Dr. Denenberg relocated to Medicine Hat Alberta, where he was the primary practitioner and practice manager at a companion animal hospital in Medicine Hat, Alberta for over 3 years.

While working at our clinic Dr. Denenberg will be providing behaviour consults as well as studying companion animal behaviour in a specialty training program (or "residency") under the direction of Dr. Landsberg.  He has recently passed his members certificate with the Australia College of Veterinary Scientists (Veterinary Behaviour).  He is an associate consultant on VIN.  Dr. Denenberg has done a number of behavioural studies including the effects of pheromones on learning and socialization in puppies and a study of play toy preference in cats for which he was awarded the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior student award.  

Dr. Denenberg is fluent in Hebrew and has two dogs, a Golden Retriever named Shemesh (from a breeder in Israel) and a mixed breed Hugo (from a shelter in Medicine Hat) as well as two cats, Elan and Lilly.
